Starlit Ethnobotanical Wonders is an enchanting exploration that that combines ancient knowledge about plants and their traditional uses with the complex world of nighttime pollination. Hedy’s project is based on ikebana, a Japanese art of flower arranging, and includes performances and workshops that tell a story connecting people, nature, and the healing power of herbs.
The residency program idea revolves around the symbiotic bond between humans and plants,. It takes inspiration from ancient wisdom and island traditions, and explores the connections between ethnobotany (how people use plants), herbal medicine, and nighttime pollination.
